Rick is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He has been involved in the music program at First Evangelical Lutheran Church since 1989. He has been a member of the adult choir, bell choir and a director of the children's choir. He currently serves as the organist, choir accompanist and the director of the bell choir. In addition to his involvement at the church he has been a pianist at Von Maur at Hickory Point Mall for eighteen years, taught Spanish, math and music in several public and parochial schools in the Decatur area, and sings with the Greater Decatur Chorale and Opus 24.
