First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Decatur, Illinois is affliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) and a member of the Central/Southern Illinois Synod

 

VISION STATEMENT
We, the people of First Evangelical Lutheran Church will “Put Christ First” in all that we do.
  We will:

  • Strive to grow as individuals and as a congregation through constant prayer— seeking God’s will.

 

  • Offer ourselves in joyful service to God and to the world which God loves— reaching out in love as a cheerful response to God’s grace.

 

  • Tell the story of God’s redeeming love through Jesus Christ—
    spreading the “good news” by what we say and do
