Milt holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Millikin University and
a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Illinois State University.
Before retiring from the Decatur Public Schools in 2000, he was the
choral director at Eisenhower High School, as well as Department Chair.
Milt has directed choirs for fifty three years at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He also works with the BAND, a small instrumental group that accompanies
worship monthly. His responsibilities include assisting in planning
services, directing the Adult Choir, and creating varieties of worship
events. He was the choral director at the Lutheran School Association for
five years. This is his thirtieth season as the conductor of Opus 24, a
semi professional community chorus in Central Illinois.
